The Whitworth Centre is steeped in Victorian industrial history. Lady Louisa Whitworth (wife of the industrialist Sir Joseph Whitworth) created the vision where people could meet for leisure, recreational and educational purposes and this tradition is still carried on today.

Set in 10 acres of glorious parkland, the Whitworth Centre is the obvious choice for a high quality venue but with a difference.

 

Excellent Location

 

The Whitworth Centre is located in the Derbyshire Dales on the edge of the Peak District National Park with easy access to all major road and rail links. Free parking for over 100 cars is now available. Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall and the market towns of Bakewell and Matlock are all within a 15 minute drive.

With a wide variety of rooms for hire, the Whitworth Centre offers very good value for money. Friendly staff provide a professional, efficient and personal service to ensure the success of your event.

For meetings, conferences and training courses we have a range of equipment including projectors, flip charts, lecterns and screens. We have full accessibility to the internet through Wi-Fi. For people with disabilities we have hearing loop facilities, disabled access, a lift to the first floor and toilets with wheelchair access.  

Our rates for room hire, catering and weddings are really competitive and we will be pleased to discuss these with you. We always welcome visitors and would be delighted to show you around prior to your booking with us.
